Three Canadian-invasion-week-continues reasons to eat some poutine and mosey on over to the Empty Bottle…

1. Eagle-eye readers may remember that on Tuesday Beat Kitchen and Panchos hosted a slew of Canadian rock bands. Well, it seems a good deal of these bands from the Great White North are flying south for the winter because Vancouver bluesy garage pop duo The Pack A.D. infiltrates the Bottle tonight. And, I for one welcome our new overlords; especially when they play gritty, fuzzed up ditties that pack a hard punch to the gut. Don’t believe me? Check out “Haunt You” from the group’s 2010 album Unpersons.

1. You are an ardent supporter of Chicago’s underground music scene and tonight’s show is Chicagoland from top to bottom. Or maybe you aren’t, but you love what’s happening in today’s garage scene and tonight’s show is garage heaven from top to bottom.  Maybe you don’t want me speaking for you but want to get out of your cold apartment.  Any way you slice it you should head to the Bottle tonight.
