The Breeders are known for their lengthy downtime between releases, which is why it’s quite impressive that the Kim and Kelley Deal-headed group released their new EP Fate to Fatal only a year after 2008’s Mountain Battles. While Fate to Fatal offers some of The Breeders’ moodier moments, the record unfortunately suffers from haphazard song ideas and lack of quirkiness.
