Every summer needs a good mixtape. And although we're halfway through with this rather warm Chicago one, The Hood Internet may have just released your summer jammage in their new mixtape, Trillwave.
The Chicago DJ-duo of Aaron Brink (aka ABX) and Steve Reidell (aka STV SLV) debuted the Trillwave mixtape on the Mishka NYC blog this week. It features, as always, a ton of great mashups, 25 to be exact, including Lollapalooza 2010 headliners Phoenix v. Pitchfork Fest act Why?, Doom v. The Flaming Lips, Drake v. Beach House and many more.

A few weeks ago, Greg Kot scooped everyone with news of three of Lollaplooza 2011's headliners. Now hot on the heels of news that Pitchfork Music Festival 2011 tickets going on sale on Friday, rumors of its line up are making their way around the interwebs.
First off, Chicago Reader's Gossip Wolf claimed it has the scoop on this year's Pitchfork yesterday and named Superchunk as a headliner. Other acts said to be on the festival's bill, according to Gossip Wolf, are the newly reunited Dismemberment Plan (who just rolled through town a week ago), TV On The Radio (who have a new album on the way), Odd Future and Atmosphere.
