Last week had a post with a rundown of what local artists are doing to help out the people of Haiti as they recover from the devastating earthquake that ransacked the poor island country.
Late last Friday Wilco made their July 13, 2009 at Kesypan Park, Brooklyn, NY and November 4, 2009 at the HMV Forum, London, shows available for download along with a request that a minimum of $15 be donated to either OXFAM or Doctors Without Borders. Head on over and download and donate if you can.
Additionally, the band announced today on their Facebook page 3 screenings of the film “Ashes of American Flags” at the Gene Siskel Film Center. The award winning documentary feature followed the group on their 2008 tour and chronicles life on the road and on stage.
The screenings take place Friday, January 29 at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, January 30 at 7:45 p.m. and Sunday, February 1 at 8:30 p.m. and tickets for all 3 are on sale now.
