TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS 2010
Tomorrow Never Knows 2010 (continues on through Sunday with shows both at Schubas and Lincoln Hall. Let’s break it down for you:
One-man band Alan Palomo AKA Neon Indian headlines Friday’s show at Schubas. Hailing from not one but two extremely hyped cities, Brooklyn and Austin, Palomo has pieced together ambiance, dream pop, and grinding guitars to produce something pretty unique. Atlas Sound headlines Lincoln Hall the same night. There’s pretty much nothing much left to be said about Atlas Sound, so let’s focus on supporting act, Chicago’s Icy Demons, who combine all kinds of influences, from jazz to dub, to build an infectious sound. I’ve seen them a few times and they’ve always won me over with their god damned likability. Catch Icy Demons for free at the Reckless Records on Broadway 5pm Friday as well. – Ross Meyerson
