A lot is happening in the world of Pelican. The band”s first album on Southern Lord Records, What We All Come to Need, originally released last October, is getting the vinyl treatment.
The double-LP hits the streets on February 23 and contains 3 additional tracks not available on the digital release.
To commemorate the vinyl release, which will be presented in a heavyweight gate-fold jacket, a concert is planned for March 12 at the Beat Kitchen. Pinebender and Follows will open the show and those in attendance will have the one and only chance to purchase Pelican’s Ephemeral Bean Blend a special coffee created by Intelligentsia that the band describes as:
The richest, most complex flavors take patience and skill to craft and are over far too quickly. In that spirit we are proud to present this blend of coffee beans, who have known artisan care from their moment of inception at the farms at which they were grown to the roastery where their delicate nuances were honed to perfection by the skilled craftsmen at Intelligentsia. Enjoy the moment while it lasts.
The free Scion Rock Fest in Columbus, OH announced Pelican will be among the 20 bands performing on March 13.
And finally the band recently released a video for “Final Breath” off of What We All Come to Need, the first song of theirs to contain vocals, check it out:
