As we previously reported, Chicago R&B and soul legend Mavis Staples will release her Jeff Tweedy-produced album, You Are Not Alone, on September 14 via Anti-.
Luckily for us, the album’s title track debuted this morning on Pitchfork.com. The song, “You Are Not Alone”, is a Tweedy-penned, folk-tinged tune that features some uplifting gospel-esque vocals from Staples. “You Are Not Alone” will officially be released on iTunes on Tuesday, June 20.
Finally, don’t forget to catch Mavis Staples on Friday, August 6, at 2 p.m. on the Budweiser Stage at Lollapalooza.
Check out the “You Are Not Alone” right now at Pitchfork.com or after the jump.
