File this under heartbreaking.
Miami rockers Torche had all their gear stolen from their van last Friday, May 14, while they were on tour supporting Coheed and Cambria at Chicago’s Congress Theatre.
The Chicagoist reports that the theft occured while Torche’s van was parked in front of Geothe Elementary School, located at 2236 North Rockwell St., between 1:30 and 4:30 a.m.
As a result of the equipment theft, Torche has to cancel their Saturday, May 15, gig in Detroit as well as their upcoming Canadian dates as their passports were stolen as well. Read more about the theft and how to donate via paypal at the Hydra Head Records blog.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Torche is looking into borrowing some gear for future shows.
