Like Loud Loop Press, the Do-Division Street Fest and Sidewalk Sale likes to keep things local. From the food to the vendors, right down to the bands that play, the focus is directly on Chicago.
This year’s fest, held Saturday and Sunday, June 5th & 6th on Division between Ashland and Levitt, will have two stages booked by Empty Bottle Presents and Subterranean / House Call Entertainment chock full of great Chicago bands.
Among those recruited to perform are heavy hitters Pelican and The Ponys, mash-up driven Hood Internet, Local H’s Scott Lucas and The Married Men, and one of our 10 Chicago Bands to Watch in 2010, Bailiff.

I can’t wait to hit up this festival.
Random fact of the day: Every time I see “Sybris” I’m reminded of Scott Lucas referring to them as “Syphilis” in a radio interview because the band mistakenly put “Scott Lucas and the Merry Men” on the gig poster instead of “Married Men.”
whoa! this sunday lineup is awesome. warpaint, yacht, mynabirds! yes!! pleasantly surprised, serious props to whoever got that lineup. wow.
This lineup is like 10 lords of leaping in the direction of musical Christmas come early. I’m very excited!
Do you need to purchase tickets for this show before hand? I have been searching for a way to get tickets online, but have had no luck so far. Could someone please fill me in.
Nope, you don’t need to buy advance tickets. Cost for admission is a $5 donation, which you can pay upon entering the fest on June 5 & 6. Chances of it selling out are slim, but I’d recommend getting there early anyway.
