Three let’s-get-ready-to-rumble-in-the-parking-lot reasons to mosey on over to the Hideout tonight…
1. Tonight’s The Rumble tour is brought to you by F and S, Los Angeles record label Future Sounds, that is. The Chicago edition is sponsored by yours truly and a host of other great local blogs. Headlining this crazy and FREE show are psychedelic rockers The Great Society Mind Destroyers, whose low rumbling bass lines and chugging guitar solos are sure to leave you dizzy.
2. Local pop rockers Pet Lions are the odd middle child in this garage-rock loving family tonight. The quartet sound like the perfect mash-up of its influences: The Cure, The Strokes and Phoenix. On its full-length debut, Houses, which officially releases next month, Pet Lions utilize plenty of snappy beats, soothing harmonies, and plenty of bleeps and bloops via the keyboard.
3. Starting the night off strong are Chicago classic rocking punks Rambos. Sounding straight out of the 70s, the quintet uses plenty of infectious “Whoa-oh-oh-ohs” and gritty, echo-y guitars to get its point across. Show up early for these cool cats.
9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12. The Hideout. 21+ FREE!!!!
