Three reasons to see Sloan at Lincoln Hall tonight…
1. Together for nearly 20 years, this Canadian rock outfit continues to put out music chock full of fresh harmonies and toe-taping melodies including this year’s Hit and Run EP, featuring the single “Take it Upon Yourself.”
2. Sloan’s 1996 album One Chord to Another may be one of the best pop albums ever made. Take that, Celine Dion!
3. Check out Chris Murphy and Co. cutting loose on the song “She Says What She Means” in their native Canada:
7:00 PM. Monday, 12/7. Lincoln Hall. All Ages. $20.

man, i think navy blues is better. but it’s tough. and never hear the end of it kind of blows me away as well. just a truly underrated band
I’ve always been amazed that Sloan isn’t more famous than they are. Navy Blues is a great album. It’s definitely tough to choose between Sloan albums, but lately I find myself putting One Chord to Another on repeat, especially “Junior Panthers” and “G Turns to D.” Plus Twice Removed has probably my favorite song ever “Coax Me.” I’m almost sorry I went home for the holidays and missed this show.
