Three reasons to go see the Sanctified Grumblers at The Hideout tonight:
1. You miss seeing Devil In A Woodpile. Well Sanctified Grumblers feature one Rick “Cookin” Sherry of Devil, still pursuing that foot-stomping roots music his former band championed.
2. The other Grumbler, Eric “Leadfoot” Noden, plays everything from the 6-string banjo to the kazoo to, yes, his foot.
3. It’s a cold, dreary November day in Chicago. Transport yourself to a porch in the South in the middle of summer for one night. Maybe crack open a cold one. Or two. A rich fantasy like helps keep one’s sanity through the brutal Chicago winters i say.
The Hideout, Nov. 17, 9:30, 21+, $5 donation
