1. Why it’s a rootin’ tootin’ showcase from Chicago’s own HoZac Records! And look! It features the lofi, reverb-heavy, psych-rock antics of Chicago’s Radar Eyes. In case you couldn’t tell, we’re big fans of the band at Loud Loop. So after you’re done dancing and rocking out to Radar Eyes at the Bottle tonight, be sure to secure your tickets to our Beats & Blogs event next month at the Subterranean, which also happens to have Radar Eyes on bill. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. right here.
2. If there was an award for most clever “Myspace address title ever,” it would definitely go to Philly’s Reading Rainbow, whose Myspace addy is Myspace.com/levarmotherfuckingburton. That’s killer. Anyway, they’ll also be on hand to blow your face away tonight with their punky, garage antics, which are filled with big melodies. It’s gritty but pretty at the same time!
3. Also on the bill tonight are Lansing, Michigan’s The Peoples Temple whose twisted guitar antics will instinctually cause your head to nod up and down, and the noisy, post-punk meets psych rock of locals Nones. Put on your dancing shoes, folks! Tonight’s HoZac Showcase is one ballsy rock show.
9:00 p.m. Thursday, 11/11. Empty Bottle. 21+. $8 or FREE by RSVP-ing to rsvp@emptybottle.com.
