In Tall Buildings

Three I-just-wanna-sit-on-the-porch-and-read-but-first-I-must-do-this reasons to applaud my dedication and then head over to the Whistler tonight…

1. Last we checked in with In Tall Buildings the members were readying their record store day 7-inch. Well that has come and gone so let’s check in again. Oh, look, it seems they are playing. How fortuitous. We’ve heard talk of a new album so perhaps new tunes will be on display? Only one way to find out.

2. Opener Thin Hymns take a minimalist approach to things. That’s not to say their tunes are sparse per se. There are sounds galore but they are all given space to breath and do whatever else sounds want to do. Underneath it all is a sort of kitchen sink Americana at times sounding front porch and other times outer space. A little like Woods, perhaps.

3. Crap, two bands. Think Meyerson, think. Didn’t In Tall Buildings do a Giant System? Heck yeah they did! Sit back, relax, and enjoy a little In Tall Buildings on the Giant System:
