Dastardly
Three reasons to race out the door for some fine Kentucky bourbon tonight at the Whistler…
1. I’m willing to bet not many bands appear to have as much fun on stage as Americana outfit Dastardly. Swilling Jim Beam, leading drunken sing-alongs and crooning about heartache, Dastardly really gives a show their all. And word on the Facebook street is this will be Dastardly’s last show for a while. Don’t miss it. LISTEN: “Exercises in Self Loathing“
2. St. Louis quintet Kentucky Knife Fight join Dastardly tonight on the Whistler’s stage. The group pairs chugging punk riffs with sweet, dirty southern rock hospitality and fancy threads. There’s an undeniable Replacements meets The Black Crows vibe radiating off songs from its most recent album We’re All Nameless Here. WATCH: “Same Streets, Same Clothes“
3. There are only two bands tonight. But, don’t fret. We’ve got an oldie, but a goodie, from Dastardly to keep you company. Check out the group’s “Villain” video below:
10:00 p.m. Wednesday, 2/22. The Whistler. 21+ FREE!
