Bully In The Hallway

BOO! It’s halloweeeen…officially! So here are three truly spooktacular reasons to be at Exit tonight…

1. Despite it being Monday, Halloween is no where close to being over considering that today is the big day. Tonight, there’s a good one with local rockers Bully In The Hallway. Since we first started writing about Bully In The Hallway, we’ve always noted that their alt-rock riffs and post-punk vocals occasionally reminds us of Fugazi. Well, Bully In The Hallway will finally just go with it and unleash a Fugazi only set under the moniker of BOOgazi. So, for you Fugazi fans, fear not. Their classics are in good hands with Bully In The Hallway.

2. And since it’s Halloween night, one band playing as another band just isn’t enough. Bubbly garage rockers Slushy will join forces with flowerpunks Uh Bones for a Velvet Underground And Nico set. Yes, for those that forgot how awesome Lou Reed was before his Metallica collab, let Slushy and Uh Bones remind you that at one point in time the man could actually make listenable music.

3. Not every band on the bill is playing musical dress up. Power metalers Cealed Kasket are being themselves, which is quite fitting as their scorched earth riffage, shrieking vocals and glammy approach oozes Halloween. And finally, local trio Darkness And Goblin King will do their surely frighten with their two guitars and one keyboard sonic beatdown.

9:00 p.m. Monday, 10/31. Exit (1315 W. North Avenue). 21+. FREE!!!
