1. Because three local favorites are playing for a very good cause. Louis and the Hunt will headline the show with their subdued, melancholy brand of indie-pop. Their songs are built around a very minimal tension that barely holds together, but it does, and it’s extremely satisfying. Check out the song, “Telephone Lines,” on their Myspace.

2. Because indie-shoegazers Panda Riot will also be there bringing their brand of melodic noise to the show. While the ambient, airy alterna-rock of Color Radio will get the show started. It’s the perfect lineup for a dreary winter day.

3. Because the show is benefiting Bike & Build. Never heard of Bike & Build? It’s an amazing organization that utilizes bicycling in the war on poverty. From their write-up on Lincolnhall.com

Through fund-raising cycling trips, Bike & Build raises money for and awareness of affordable housing efforts. Our events act as a catalyst to build homes, foster the spirit of service, and empower young adults… mile by mile, house by house.

8:00 PM. Tuesday, 1/26. Lincoln Hall. 18+. $10.
