While Loud Loop Press staffers hungrily gorged themselves on Tofurky this past holiday season, several Chicago artists decided to rock the hell out of Daytrotter.
Roots rocker Judson Claiborne, indie poppers Unicycle Loves You, new wavers California Wives and folk poppers Seafarer all recently recorded a live set for the Rock Island-based website.
Pop rocking trio Unicycle Loves You unveiled a groovy, previously unreleased jam titled “Golden Girls” along with two tracks from each of its releases 2010′s Mirror Mirror and 2008′s self-titled album. You can stream the group’s set or download it for free in 128K MP3 format here.
Chicago quintet Judson Claiborne bared its collective soul during its Daytrotter session, which drew heavily from the group’s 2010 album Time and Temperature. Download or stream the set here.
Folk pop quartet Seafarer culled its Daytrotter session setlist directly from its recently re-released EP Hiding Places. The set can be streamed or downloaded here.
Last, but not least, download or stream new wave pop quartet California Wives’ set here. The group performed three dreamy tracks from its debut album Affair, including “Guilt,” “Blood Red Youth” and “Twenty Three.”
