According to a Pitchfork.com report, Califone have announced tour dates in support of their new album All My Friends are Funeral Singers, which is set for release on October 6. As noted last month, the album will be the first for the band on the Austin-based Dead Oceans label.
Frontman Tim Rutili wrote and directed a film of the same name and the tour will feature many shows in which the band will play the soundtrack live alongside a screening of the picture. The tour kicks off with 2 shows at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art on October 10 and 11 and both will include movie screenings.
