Chicago noisy alternative rockers Atombombpocketknife are set to release a career-spanning anthology called With Compliments through File 13 Records on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
The 37-track collection includes singles, demos, remixes and live recordings compiled by File 13 owner and Atombombpocketknife guitarist Justin Sinkovich (who in addition to all those things also co-founded the Chicago-based free music website Epitonic).
Before calling it quits with a final show at the Empty Bottle in 2005, after eight years together, Atombombpocketknife recorded three full-length albums and one EP. The group also spawned Chicago rock vets Che Arthur, who went on to a solo career; and drummer Tony Lazzara, who currently plays guitar for the Bruce Lamont-helmed supergroup Bloodiest as well as drums for the band Follows.
With Compliments is currently available for free streaming via Atombombpocketknife’s newly created Bandcamp profile.
