You have to be hip to represent Logan Square, Bucktown and Wicker Park. And the man who has that job is up for the challenge.

First ward Ald. Proco “Joe” Moreno will host the next Punk Rock Karaoke sing-along at Quencher’s Saloon (2401 N. Western Ave.) on Friday, November 4.

The “hipster” alderman’s love of punk rock, specifically Minor Threat, is already well-documented, but now his constituents as well as other curious onlookers will get to see Ald. Moreno crank some Clash for a good cause.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Funds from the Punk Rock Karaoke event will benefit Friends of Goethe School.
