So, Ty Segall and his band stopped by WGN Morning News yesterday morning to perform a new track from his upcoming LP, Twins. And while I've seen a few places describe the performance as Ty Segall going crazy or whatever, I can assure you that, as someone who saw Ty at Logan Square Auditorium last weekend, this is just how he rolls. He blazes through the tune - a high energy fuzz-garage attack - then ends with a demented yell of "Chicago!" over and over in the mic. Perhaps the best part, though, is the shot of the desk anchors during the song trying to do their best "Whooo! Rock 'n' Roll!" pantomime. And aside from obvious production issues (the kick drum could seriously come down in the mix), Ty kills in only in a way Ty can and that's really all we can ask, right? Enjoy:
