Village really caught our attention with their art-meets-indie-rock fueled full-length Local Moves, and now, by golly, they’ve done it again with two new free tracks they’re calling a digital 7″.

The two tracks, titled “Heaven Is A Shroud” and “Got No Hold,” can be downloaded for free at Village’s Bandcamp page. But, of course, this is a LISTEN post, and you need something to listen to, right?

Well, you should probably go ahead and hit that play icon to the left and listen to “Heaven Is A Shroud.” It’s a pretty killer tune that really plays to Village’s psychedelic rock side, but has a thunderous bass groove to boot. Think Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl” on some semi-decent mushrooms – it’s wild and dirty, yet maintains its focus.

Dig the “Heaven Is A Shroud”? Then you’ll most likely want to hit up the Bottom Lounge this Friday as Village will no doubt rock your socks off when they hit the stage. In fact, you can go ahead and grab tickets right now at Ticketweb.com.
