Chicago’s Tiger Bones, not to be confused with tiger blood, released their debut EP yesterday, titled Go Over Here, on Dedd Foxx.

The EP was produced by Ponys’ front-man Jered Gummere, and the band are offering it as a free download right now at Candydinner.com. If you’re more into touching and holding your music, a limited edition 12″ vinyl is available to order through Insound, and this physical edition comes with a bonus track that, “cleverly layers Joy Division’s “Transmission” with Harry Nilsson’s “Jump Into The Fire.” Whoa.

Interest piqued? Well, here’s Go Over Here‘s first track, “Kill Them”. The song begins as a galloping garage-surf piece with melodic guitars before collapsing into an off-kilter chorus section with crooked, warped vocals. Pretty wild. Check out “Kill Them” above.

Tiger Bones, like many Chicago acts, are heading down to Austin very soon for SXSW. Can’t make the trip? No worries, the band will be back in Chicago soon. They’ll hit Crown Liquor on Friday, April 1, and the Empty Bottle on Monday, May 2.
