Chicago’s psych rockers Secret Colours welcome November in style with a brand new single.

Titled, “In The Absence”, the song is another sharply recorded, ’60s psych rock throwback that could fit nicely on the group’s debut LP, released just this past August. It’s a slow burner featuring sitar-sounding guitars and early Pink Floyd-esque breaks. Listen to the track at the left.

You can hear the single’s B-side, “Carry My Soul”, at their Bandcamp page. And as of right now, the new single can only be streamed from Secretcolours.bandcamp.com, but the band promises to release “In The Absence” as a free download once their Facebook page gets 1000 “Likes”.

Dig the track? Be sure to catch Secret Colours on Friday, November 12, at the Subterranean. Tickets are available right now at Ticketweb.com for $8.
